Fishing

In 2017, we will be offering fishing trips on Pine Island Sound and Charlotte Harbor. Red Fish, Snook and Seatrout are the most likely targets. The fishing here is world class. To learn more about the region we will be fishing, visit our destinations page for the gulf islands . Kayakfish featured an article about Pine Island, where we stage our trips out of, in 2014. Our trips originate from Bokellia. Depending on the weather and the length of the trip, we will travel anywhere from The Gaspirilla Sound near Cape Haze to the north to the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge to the South. Mirage only draws two feet, so we can find anchorages near many of the best fishing sites. If the distance to the best fishing is too far or the wind is blowing to hard to paddle efficiently against it, we can use the tender for Mirage to tow kayaks to more protected sites to fish.

We use NRS inflatable kayaks and paddle boards. We provide light tackle, medium to heavy action spinning rods and a cooler.

No fishing license is necessary. We have a charter license for Mirage.

We can provide custom trips to fit your needs. Please call us for more information.
